Lucoban-S Capsule
Most women notice from time to time they have a discharge from the vagina. This is a normal process which keeps the mucous lining of Vagina moist. This type of discharge does not require any medication even quite profuse, as is often in the case of pregnancy. Vaginal discharge may also be due to infection which needs to be treated. White discharge of Leucorrhoea are cloudy secretions from the female reproductive tract especially from the vagina or cervix or both. It acts as a precursor of pelvic inflammatory diseases. Infection of fallopian tube and ovaries etc, which obstruct tubes and may cause infertility.
Pharmaceutical Action
Treats leukorrhea: Leucorrhoea, commonly known as whites, refers to a whitish discharge from the female genitals. It is an abnormal disease condition of the reproductive organs of women. The condition may continue for weeks or months at a time. If not treated properly in the initial stages, it may become chronic. Lucoban-S is an effective ayurvedic preparation for Leucorrhoea. It helps to normalize uterine functions, prevents vaginal infection and tones up female reproductive system. Lucoban-S not only stops vaginal and cervical discharge but also rectifies menstrual irregularity. It also controls urinary tract infections in females.
Stimulates the endometrium: Lucoban-S It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect. Its tonic property improves uterine circulation and its astringent actions on the mucus membrane of the genital system control leucorrhoea. Further it has antifungal activity also.
Pain relief: Lucoban-S anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antispasmodic properties alleviate pain and other symptoms associated with PID and leukorrhea.

Ingredients in Action
Chandraprabha Vati has tonic effects on uterus and maintains vaginal ph between 3.8-4.5. It is acidic in nature and restores uterine function, without allowing germ bleeding. It also allays premenstrual tension. Therefore, it is drug of choice in Pre-Menstrual Syndrome.
Nagkesar is an astringent, an antiseptic, an antispasmodic and demulcent. It enhances diuresis (in case where patients develop edema).
Ashok Chhal contains phenol glycoside, which is highly toxic. It has direct effect on uterine musculature. It stimulates both endometrium and ovarian tissue. It is an astringent and uterine sedative. The drug provides great benefit in uterine infections and menorrhagia due to uterine fibroids and other causes.
Recommended Dosage
One capsule twice daily with milk or consult your physician to prescribe the dosage that best suits the condition.

Lucoban-S is not known to have any side effects if taken as per the prescribed or recommended dosage.
Precautious
- Avoid stress and strain since it may effect the hormonal levels and may increase secretions. Never share towels and undergarments.
- Avoid sexual intercourses during heavy discharge.
- Take hygienic measures to keep genitals clean.
- Take nutritious diet, especially foods rich in Vit. A, B,C,E, magnesium and Zinc.
